Extinction Rebellion – Day XI

I returned to Marble Arch on Thursday after Extinction Rebellion announced they were ending their demonstrations in London.

Upon arrving at Marble Arch the main difference was the roads being open to traffic once more.

Although they were leaving there were still a large number of people and tents present,

as there were police. Police on foot, police in vans and a police surveillance van.

The atmosphere was peaceful as if the demonstrators were resigned to the fact it was over. They had pledged to leave Marble Arch in the state they found it, a couple of people even cleaning lamp posts that may have had graffiti on them.

Others continued cooking food, discussing achievements or future demonstrations

Whilst there was no chanting or distribution of flyers if you looked closely the message was still clear

And to conclude one final statement

Until next time..
